Overview

Cleversort is a team collaboration and project management platform similar to ClickUp or Asana, originally designed for desktop use. I was brought in to design a native mobile app version of the product, translating its complex task management and team coordination features into an intuitive mobile-first experience.

The mobile app needed to preserve the core functionality of the desktop platform while adapting workflows, interactions, and UI patterns to feel native and effortless on mobile devices.

Challenges

• Translating a dense, feature-rich desktop SaaS into a lightweight mobile experience

• Prioritizing essential tools while minimizing feature overload

• Designing intuitive mobile interaction patterns for project, task, and team management

• Maintaining feature consistency without overwhelming users on smaller screens

Goals

• Create a native mobile app for Cleversort’s project and task management platform

• Preserve core functionality from the desktop version while optimizing for mobile UX

• Simplify navigation and user flows for faster task creation, deadline tracking, and team updates

• Ensure consistent brand identity and visual language between desktop and mobile platforms

Process Highlights

• Audited the desktop app to identify essential features for mobile adaptation

• Mapped key mobile user journeys and restructured task management workflows

• Designed intuitive navigation and interaction patterns optimized for mobile use

• Created low and high-fidelity prototypes for task lists, team messaging, and notification management
